2026 International Academic Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Case Studies (AICS 2026), as a sub-forum of the 8th International Academic Exchange Conference on Science and Technology Innovation, will be grandly held in Guangzhou, China, from December 18 to 20, 2026.
With the rapid advancement of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AIGC), academia and industry worldwide are confronted with an unprecedented disconnect between technological application progress and governance frameworks. Traditional academic conferences centred on technical demonstrations or theoretical discussions can no longer address real-world challenges emerging within complex commercial ecosystems and social governance systems.
Against this backdrop, the International Association for Case Research, in partnership with the School of Economics and Management, Beihang University; the Case Centre, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University; the Institute of Platform Governance, Dalian University of Technology; the Case Centre, China Europe International Business School (CEIBS); and Aischolar, together with other leading domestic and international academic institutions, initiates the2026 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Case Studies (AICS 2026). Breaking the mould of conventional conferences, the event draws on authentic management and governance pain points from China and Beyond as its source of cases, and leverages cutting-edge AI technologies and qualitative research methodologies as solutions. It builds a full-factor industry-university-research platform integrating academic research, industrial practice and international communication, disseminating high-value "Chinese cases" and "Belt and Road experiences" with tangible commercial and social impacts to the global community.
Research demand: Shifting from fragmented field investigations to systematic case development
Corporate demand: Solving genuine practical problems and enabling two-way empowerment through industry-education integration
University talent cultivation demand: Systematic case teaching and reforms for professional degree dissertations
Interdisciplinary connectivity demand: Breaking disciplinary silos between business schools, engineering schools and schools of public administration
All accepted full papers will be published as an individual chapter in IAECST 2026 conference proceedings, All accepted full papers will be published by IEEE (ISBN:979-8-3195-0203-2) and submitted to EI Compendex and Scopus for indexing.
